Growing up in nearby small towns, our paths have crossed a few times. So when Jensen and Lee asked me to photograph their wedding, I was super excited! These two lovers got engaged amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Originally hoping for a winter wedding, they decided to kick things into high gear, and get hitched in July among their closest family and friends. I'm a sucker for weddings, big or small, but there is a special sort of feeling tied to intimate weddings. It's not that they have "more" love or are happier by any means; it's a different kind of love and joy at an intimate wedding. And I am so happy I was there for this one! :D

After scouting around Hanley and the neighbouring area for about an hour, I officially started the day with Jensen at her parents place. In case you're wondering, I will always arrive early to scout on wedding day. Jensen and her dad had the cutest little first look, before Lee arrived and the soon to be newly weds also had their first look!

We headed down to a "secret road" ;) that I found during my scout, not to far from Hanley. Jensen and Lee were absolutely adorable. Because of their short timeline between getting engaged to getting married, we had only just done their engagement photos a month before, so these two were like working with trained professionals for their couples formals!

A little rain following us around forced us back to Hanley. These two just rolled with all the punches. Including moving their ceremony indoors last minute. Because hey, when you have to deal with getting married during a global pandemic, a little wind and rain isn't about to stop you!

After the ceremony, Jensen and Lee socialized with guests, snapped a few more photos, and had a drink with their bridal party (lack of bridal party attire due to COVID). I may have even found a new assistant. Peep Grandma snapping some photos on her disposable camera - which I didn't even know you could still get! Thanks to her, I will be stopping by London Drugs to grab a few of these babies ;)
