I first met these two during the engagement session in the Craik Valley. They were so much fun to work with and easy going. A complete pleasure to work with. We clicked instantly over some GOT references, and I knew that they were my kind of people! July 5 was my first official 2020 wedding with the lovely Kirsten and Trevor. Once covid hit, many couples decided to postpone, but these two decided not to and I am so grateful for that because it was such an amazing day. I had the best time documenting their covid wedding experience.

I started the day meeting up with Kirsten and her girls getting ready at her parents place. They had the coolest room for details, and I took one of my favorite dress shots to date! Afterwards I skedaddled over to the Hotel Sask, where Trevor and the groomsmen were getting ready. I pulled Trevor down to the lobby for a very special first look with his soon to be wife! Little did he know Kirsten and I had been scheming behind his back to make it one he would never forget! A few months ago Kirsten had messaged me about pranking Trevor for their first look. She had arranged for one of the groomsmen to come down in her place, so when Trevor turned around he would see his special "lady" and get a good laugh. It went off without a hitch. Trevor laughed out loud! We had to "reset" the room for the real first look, which was good, as it gave Trevor a minute to compose himself. He was chuckling to himself for quite a while. It honestly felt like I was in an episode of "Punked" - so much fun! Then we did the actual first look, and Trevor was in awe of his stunning bride (I mean who wasn't - she's a stunner)! We did a couple shots in the Hotel Sask, and then moved on to the Local Market YQR for some family photos, and more with the Bride and Groom and their (massive) bridal party! Local Market was such a cool space! It definitely suited this couples cool, laid back Sunday wedding vibe.

Kirsten and Trevor decided to be wed in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The service was live streamed for those who were not able to attend due to restrictions. The experience was so surreal, but also very exciting. They read personal vows, which Kirsten said was nice to have to do in front of a small audience, because that was nerve wracking enough. I was so happy to be part of the small group of people that were able to witness their love in person. I feel truly honoured to have shared that with you guys.

After the ceremony we headed off to Wascana Park for a couple more photos before they were off to celebrate for the evening. Thank you so much again, for having me document your day! I was so hyped for your day! It was amazing to watch the "Love is Not Cancelled" show in person. I wish all the best to you both, in whatever this crazy life may bring!
